1. Who we are
These terms apply to every order placed on study-abroad-journal.com, sold by Sullivan Bouchenoire, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as Reflective Capsule Edition, SIRET 938 464 096 00032, 14 Avenue du Professeur Jean Dausset, 31300 Toulouse, France, hello@study-abroad-journal.com. By placing an order, you accept these terms. They apply to purchases made by consumers.
2. The product
The Study Abroad Journal is a printed guided journal in English, described on the What's inside page. Photos are as faithful as possible; small differences in colour may exist from one print to another.
3. Price
The price is shown in euros on the website and at checkout: 24,99 € per journal, delivery included. VAT is not applicable (article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). The price that applies is the one shown when you confirm your order. Discount codes, when offered, are applied at checkout.
4. Your order
You add the journal to your cart, fill in your details, check your order and pay. The contract is formed when your payment is accepted. You then receive a confirmation email with a summary of your order, which we recommend you keep.
5. Payment
Payment is made online at checkout through our secure payment provider Mollie (card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Klarna, depending on availability). We never see or store your card details. Your order is processed once payment is confirmed.
6. Delivery
Each journal is printed on demand and shipped by Amazon (Kindle Direct Publishing) to the address you give at checkout, in the countries offered at checkout. Delivery is free. It usually takes about 14 days, and you receive an email with tracking. Please order at least 3 weeks before you need it.
If your journal has not arrived within 30 days of your order, write to us and we will find a solution: a new copy or a full refund.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind, more than the 14 days required by law, without giving a reason. Email us at hello@study-abroad-journal.com with your order number, then send the journal back within 14 days. Return shipping is at your expense, unless the journal is damaged, defective or wrong. We refund you within 14 days of receiving it, with the same payment method. A journal that has been written in or used can only be partly refunded, in proportion to its loss of value. You can also use this model text: "I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the sale of the following goods: [order number, date of order and date of receipt, your name and address, date]."
8. Guarantees
Like every product sold to consumers in France, the journal is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code, 2 years from delivery) and by the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code). If your journal arrives damaged, defective or with a printing error, email us a photo and we will replace it or refund you in full, at no cost to you.
9. Liability
The journal is a tool for writing and reflection. Its advice and tips are general and do not replace official information from your university, your host country or the authorities. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or by events beyond our control.
10. Personal data
The data you give us is only used to process your order and keep in touch with you, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you have a problem, please write to us first at hello@study-abroad-journal.com: we will do our best to find a solution quickly. If no amicable solution is found, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction.
