The story
As a former Erasmus student, I know how life changing studying abroad can be: friendships, challenges and personal growth.

In 2023 I left for my Erasmus in Athens. It was my first real departure alone abroad: I knew no one, and no place. Within days, new friends and my flatmates pulled me into the lives they had already built there. One weekend, we even climbed Mount Olympus together.
A few months after coming home, I was scrolling through my photos. My phone still knew where each one was taken, but I didn’t. Ordinary pictures of places that were probably great spots, and I could not remember what made them special.
So I created the Study Abroad Journal to help students document their adventures and keep those incredible memories alive for years to come.
Write. Evolve. Retrospect on yourself.
From one Erasmus to a journal for the students who leave next.
My first real departure alone abroad.
Realising how much I had already forgotten.
Written with stories and advice from former students.
ESN sections in Italy and France, and ESNcard, join the adventure.
Three words on the cover, three promises inside.
Put words on what you live, while it is still fresh.
See how each challenge changes you, step by step.
Reopen it years later and remember who you became.
